This St. John's Wort tea was wild harvested on my childhood homestead in Northeastern Michigan. It was then carefully washed and air dried over 4-6 weeks in a dark ventilated space in order to retain its potency. This envelope contains only the most potent part of the plant (flowers, buds and a few leaves). Therefore, it requires just a pinch of the product to achieve a tea with therapeutic value. I suggest using just 1/4 tsp in your 6-8 ounce cup.
St. John’s Wort tea is widely recognized for its ability to support individuals with mild to moderate depression by influencing neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine, which can help elevate mood and promote emotional balance. It may also reduce anxiety and nervous tension, providing a calming effect without acting as a strong sedative. Regular consumption can help boost emotional resilience, making it easier to cope with stress
While not a sedative, St. John’s Wort tea may improve sleep quality in individuals whose insomnia is linked to stress or low mood. Its mild relaxing properties can help promote a more restful night’s sleep. The tea may also ease premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms, including mood swings, irritability, and fatigue while helping to manage menopausal mood fluctuations and support emotional stability during seasonal mood changes, such as those associated with seasonal affective disorder (SAD).
St. John’s Wort tea may support nervous system health and help relieve mild nerve-related discomfort, such as neuralgia or sciatica. By promoting balanced neurotransmitter activity, it may also enhance mental clarity and reduce fatigue indirectly
The tea contains flavonoids and other bioactive compounds that provide antioxidant protection and mild anti-inflammatory effects, which can help protect cells from oxidative stress and support overall health
